What Must I Do To Be Saved?

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)

Do you know for certain that you will go to heaven when you die? This is a very important question that everyone must answer. Life's ultimate statistic is the same for all of us: 1-out-of-1 dies.

The problem is everyone of us is a sinner. And the penalty for our sin is eternal separation from God in a literal place of torment called hell. No matter how good we are or how good we try to be, no amount of good works can ever overcome our sin problem. That is because entrance into heaven requires perfect righteousness.

But God, who is rich in mercy, has given us an indescribable gift. God provided for our salvation when He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place on the cross. When Jesus died and rose again He paid the penalty for our sin.

Today, all who trust Jesus, the Son of God, and Him alone, to forgive their sins and give them the free gift of eternal life will be saved. Jesus said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life." (Jn 6:47)

Let me encourage you, right now, in the best way you know how, to trust in what Jesus has done on the cross for you as being all you will ever need to take away your sins and assure you a place in heaven.
