 Not By Works is an extension of the teaching and preaching ministry of J. B. Hixson. Dr. Hixson serves as the Senior Pastor of Brenham Bible Church in Brenham, Texas.
Dr. Hixson also teaches Theology and Bible Exposition courses at Grace School of Theology in The Woodlands, TX where he serves as the Academic Dean. He earned his B.A. degree from Houston Baptist University, Th.M. degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and Ph.D. degree from Baptist Bible Seminary. Dr. Hixson has been involved in vocational church ministry since 1987 including five pastorates in Texas and Illinois and he served as guest-faculty at the Bryansk Bible Institute in Bryansk, Russia. He is the author of the book Getting the Gospel Wrong, and numerous theological journal articles. J. B. and his wife Wendy live with their six children in Washington, TX.
